Father Bash Foundation is one that advocates for female education. The only means for a woman to become independent and in a position to make the right decisions she must be educated. The many orphaned children taken care of by the foundation are 80% girls. Most of these are girls already emotionally unstable given that they are orphans, and are further faced with various challenges with the biggest one being the change that happens in a woman's life when she hits her teenage years. During this challenging time in a young woman's life it has caused a lot of stigma to these young girls, with some even running away from school due to lack of access to proper sanitary supplies to use during the menstruation period.
At St. Mary’s Girls Vocational school, female education is top on the list. These girls are taught according to the national syllabus and additional subjects in vocational studies such as crafts, catering, tailoring and others . The School started as early as 2004, and quite a number of students have successfully completed with their ordinary level of education (UCE). Of recent, the school (with the help of sponsors) was able to construct a multi-storied complex for additional classes and dormitories. With this, the administration has also added the Uganda Advanced certificate of Education (UACE) which had its first candidates in 2018. This alone proves that the school has improved in both standards and facilities.
The school is located in the trading town of Rwebikona which is adjacent to the central business District of Mbarara. This has the potential to pose a threat to the girls, especially with men and boys looming all over and often promising the girls gifts & lies to take them out of school. At present the school is well-secured with a high brick wall, with security monitoring the people coming in through the gates, and the girls' primary focus is on education for the future.

- Feeding a balanced meal to the students which requires land to grow food such as vegetables, fruits, carbohydrate foods and others.
- The school lacks a standard library with variety of books
- There are no science laboratory tools for practical subjects like biology and physics
- There is no computer laboratory to train the students in computer applications (which are now used all over the world)
- There is also lack of a proper sports fields.
